JPA partners with local elementary schools to host “Spanish Days”, educational presentations on Hispanic culture and language. The Spanish Days program consists of short lessons followed by themed activities such as playing traditional Hispanic games, decorating sugar skulls, and making papel picado (colored paper patterns).
For the 2016-2017 school year, Spanish Days are organized by the following JPA chapters and their corresponding partner elementary school(s):
Enloe HS: Fuller Elementary, Poe Elementary, Washington Elementary, Enloe ESL Program
NCSSM: E.K. Powe Elementary, George Watts Elementary
Raleigh Charter HS: Partnership Elementary
